Hurricane Irma Update: 9/7/2017

The following is an update from communities impacted by Hurricane Irma. For additional details, please reference the community’s website. LCS is setting up a call center for general information beginning Saturday, September 9, 2017, should you not be able to contact the community.

6:30 p.m. CDT

  • Sinai Residences Boca Raton. After careful consideration and discussions with management and leadership, residents will remain at the Toby & Leon Cooperman Sinai Residences during Hurricane Irma. The community is fully prepared for the storm with ample supplies, food, and staff. The safety of the residents and staff are our highest priority. We’ll continue to update our website with developments as they become available.
  • Volterra at Solivita Marketplace. Volterra residents and staff will be sheltering in place at the community during Hurricane Irma. We’ve notified our residents and families. We will continue to provide updates via the website. Call 407-343-5044 if you have any questions. Should we lose power at the community, our emergency line is 1-888-214-8464.
  • Glenview at Pelican Bay. Management and leadership at Glenview at Pelican Bay are carefully monitoring the track of Hurricane Irma. At this time, Collier County has not issued any evacuations. If Collier County does not issue any evacuations, the plan will be to shelter in place. For any additional information please call (239) 571-1012.
  • The Marshes of Skidaway Island. Actively monitoring Hurricane Irma and making tentative plans to evacuate the campus by Saturday, September 9th. We will have additional information to share as details are finalized.   • The Cypress of Hilton Head. Actively monitoring Hurricane Irma and making tentative plans to evacuate the campus by Saturday, September 9th. We will have additional information to share as details are finalized.
  • Plantation Village. We are currently monitoring Hurricane Irma as it progresses towards the U.S. Plantation Village has a plan in place and is prepared for the potential effects of Hurricane Irma. Please call us with any questions or concerns 910-686-7181. We will continue to provide updates.

3:45 p.m. CDT

  • Sandhill Cove. As Hurricane Irma progresses towards Palm City, Sandhill Cove is implementing extra precautions and safety measures for residents and staff. Beginning Friday, September 8, 2017, normal community services will be suspended until further notice, other than food and beverage which will operate from 8:00 a.m. until 5 p.m. Sandhill Cove will enforce a campus-wide curfew starting at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, September 8. All residents must be in their apartments, and stay in their apartments for the duration of the storm. The community is fully prepared with ample supplies, backup generator and staff. The safety of the residents and staff are the highest priority. We’ll continue to update our website with developments in the coming days. For more information, call Sandhill Cove at (772) 283-7775. Starting on Saturday, September 9, 2017, a call center will be set up at the Life Care Service Corporate office.

2:00 p.m. CDT

  • Bayshore Hilton Head. As Hurricane Irma approaches, we are monitoring the forecast and taking all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of our residents and staff. The residents and staff will be evacuating to The Glen at Lake Oconee Village in Greensboro, Georgia on Saturday, September 9th where we have all required resources in place to meet their needs throughout the event.   • Beach House Jacksonville Beach. As Hurricane Irma approaches, we are monitoring the forecast and taking all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of our residents and staff. The residents and staff will be evacuating to Clarity Pointe Jacksonville on Friday, September 8th where we have all required resources in place to meet their needs throughout the event.   • Tuscan Gardens of Venetia Bay, Clarity Pointe Pensacola, Clarity Pointe Jacksonville, Riverview Senior Resort, Elan Spanish Springs, Gentry Park Orlando, Bayshore Memory Care. As Hurricane Irma approaches, we are monitoring the forecast and taking all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of our residents and staff. We have all required resources in place including a backup generator and will shelter in place at these communities throughout the event.
